Engineered for Efficiency

Tools designed specifically for Factorio engineers to keep the factory growing without interruption.

Space Age & 2.0 Ready

Fully compliant with Factorio 2.0 and the Space Age expansion. Generate multi-surface solar systems and bridge logistics between planets effortlessly.

Factorio Mod Portal Sync

Forget manually moving ZIP files. Just enter your Factorio credentials in the panel, and your server will automatically download and update your mod-list.json.

Instant NVMe Autosaves

Megabase save files are massive. Standard hard drives cause the entire server to freeze for seconds during an autosave. Our Gen 5 NVMe drives complete saves almost instantly.

Headless Server Optimization

Our infrastructure runs specialized headless Linux containers. No GUI overhead means 100% of your purchased CPU resources go directly into calculating inserter logistics.

Zero UPS Drops

Factorio's lockstep engine requires massive single-core speed to process updates per second (UPS). Our 5.5GHz+ Ryzen 9 CPUs keep your base ticking at a perfect 60 UPS.

Easy Save Uploads

Bring your single-player factory online. Easily upload your existing local save file via our web manager or FTP, edit the server-settings.json, and invite your friends.

The Standard for Factorio Megabases

Factorio relies on a highly deterministic, lockstep game engine. This means every single client and the server must simulate every belt, inserter, and fluid calculation identically, 60 times a second. When your base scales into thousands of Science Per Minute (SPM), or you install heavy overhauls like Space Exploration or Krastorio, standard server hardware simply cannot keep up, resulting in massive UPS (Updates Per Second) drops that force the game into slow motion.

At Nitrate.Host, we build our Los Angeles infrastructure exclusively on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processors. The immense cache sizes and hyper-fast single-core clock speeds of the Ryzen architecture are widely considered the absolute best hardware in the world for running Factorio. Say goodbye to autosave stutter and UPS lag, and let the factory grow.

Factorio Hosting FAQ

Answers to common questions regarding our Factorio server capabilities.

Yes. All Factorio servers default to the latest stable 2.0 headless build. You can easily enable the Space Age expansion mods in your `mod-list.json` through our panel.

You can either manually upload your `mods` folder via SFTP, or provide your Factorio.com username and token in the server configuration. The server will automatically connect to the Mod Portal and sync your required mods on startup.

Absolutely. You can edit the `server-settings.json` directly from our web editor to add a password, change the server name, configure auto-pause behavior when empty, and control public browser visibility.

When Factorio autosaves, the entire game engine must briefly pause to write the data to disk. We use industry-leading PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSDs, which read and write data at 14,000 MB/s. This reduces the autosave "stutter" to mere milliseconds, even on massive 100MB+ save files.
